Home from Surgery

Kathleen here: MaryEllen is home from her surgery. It was a further reconstruction procedure, which I'm sure she'll explain when she gets a chance. She's groggy. The hospital wanted to keep her, but although St. Francis Hospital was more pleasant than LIJ, she opted to go home where she might get some rest. She'll update us when she's grounded, and also, when she has replaced her $%&! computer, which suffered a toddler trauma. Thanks for all the good wishes, Love, Kathleen (MaryEllen's younger sister in Oregon.)

  1. Hi there. I found your blog from the her2support group online. I saw you had the same exact diagnosis as me, exact. I read your whole blog from start to finish and I am in tears. SO MUCH has happened to you that has happened to me, the infertility, the treatments, the breast cancer. We ended up using donor and have a beautiful 8 year old son. Befoire I read your blog, I was curious as to why you chose a dbl mastectomy but now I know why. I don't blame you! I wish I had done the same now. I was diagnosed 12/1/09 and started chemo 1/7/09. Anyway, I just wanted to say I'll be following your blog and GOOD LUCK to you! I wish you the best. I can be reached at greeney@charter.net if you want a cyber buddy :) Sandra
